Since it doesn't have a display screen, you can't view the LaserJet P1005's page count directly from the printer. In order to see the page count, you'll need to look in the print driver properties (or print out a configuration page, which is also found under the print driver's properties).
To view the page count for a P1005 in Windows, right click on the print driver and select Properties. (In some versions of Windows, you may need to select Printer Properties instead.) Then go to the About tab in the Properties window. The printer's page count will be displayed under the "Configuration Status" heading.
Printer configuration pages often tell you useful information about a printer, such as its page count or meter, network settings, and toner levels. To find instructions for printing a configuration page, click on the manufacturer's name on the green bar below. To find instructions for viewing an on-screen page count, click the corresponding link on the sidebar. Check back often for updates.
