On a Kyocera Ecosys FS-4000DN printer, you can view the page count directly from the printer's operation panel. To view the page count:
1. When the printer is on (it doesn't have to say "Ready" - you can do this when "Please wait" is displayed as well) press the silver Menu button on the operation panel.
2. Scroll through the menu options (using either the up or down arrow) until you see one labeled "Life Counters."
3. Hit the right arrow button.
"> Printed Pages" will be displayed on the screen, followed by the current page count. Once you've recorded the page count, press the Menu button to exit out of this screen and return to the "Ready" screen.
