The configuration page for a Dell Color Laser Printer 5100cn contains a lot of information about the printer. You can find the total page count (called "impressions"), network settings such as the IP address and MAC address, the Dell service tag, and much more on the config page. To print the configuration page from a 5100cn:
- Press the Menu button
- Press the down arrow button until "Configure" is displayed on the screen
- Press the right arrow button
- Press the down arrow button until "Reports" is displayed
- Press the right arrow button
- Press the down arrow button until "Printer Settings" is displayed
- Press the Enter button (the round button in between the directional arrow buttons)
Printer configuration pages often tell you useful information about a printer, such as its page count or meter, network settings, and toner levels. To find instructions for printing a configuration page, click on the manufacturer's name on the green bar below. To find instructions for viewing an on-screen page count, click the corresponding link on the sidebar. Check back often for updates.

Doesnt work... says "enable ram disk" first
ReplyDeleteIf you are getting the RAM disk message when following the instructions above (Menu > Configure > Reports > Printer Settings) then there may be an issue with your printer. You can read more details about the RAM disk and what it is used for here, and you can download the user manual here.
