The configuration page (called the "printer settings" page) on a Brother HL-2240 printer gives a lot of information about the machine, including total page count, recent errors, serial number, and the estimated amount of drum yield and toner yield left.
To print the printer settings page, press the Go button (the button with the green line on it) three times.
Printer configuration pages often tell you useful information about a printer, such as its page count or meter, network settings, and toner levels. To find instructions for printing a configuration page, click on the manufacturer's name on the green bar below. To find instructions for viewing an on-screen page count, click the corresponding link on the sidebar. Check back often for updates.

How do I change the sleep time and the replace toner flag from STOP to CONTINUE?
ReplyDeleteThe sleep timer can be adjusted through the print driver properties. You can find instructions for for enabling the continue mode are on page 75 of the user manual.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have the user manual, download it here:
http://www.brother-usa.com/VirData/Content/en-US%5CPrinters%5CConsumer%5CUsersManual%5CUM_HL_2220_2230_2240_2240D_2270DW_EN_2640.PDF
3 presses gives me a "Sensor timing" page.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you are using the HL-2240 model? The user manual (page 62) shows the same thing --- press the Go button 3 times. Maybe try pressing it three times faster?
