The self test/device configuration page on a LaserJet P2035 is broken down into sections that describe the printer and its status. Some of these sections include Product Information, Page Counts, Status Log, and Print Settings.
To print the self test/device configuration page from a P2035, hold down the Go button (the one with the green icon on it) for about five seconds or so, then release it. The config page will begin printing out.
Printer configuration pages often tell you useful information about a printer, such as its page count or meter, network settings, and toner levels. To find instructions for printing a configuration page, click on the manufacturer's name on the green bar below. To find instructions for viewing an on-screen page count, click the corresponding link on the sidebar. Check back often for updates.

Not working for me :-/ Seems so simple, but...no joy
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you're holding the button down long enough? Once you've held it down for 5 or so seconds, some of the lights should come on or blink.
ReplyDeleteAre you able to print from this printer? There may be another problem, such as being out of paper, out of toner, or having a paper jam.
Didn't work for me either.
ReplyDeleteMaybe there are regional differences in firmware. Are you both located in the United States? I've tried it on several P2035's over the years, and it's been the same on all of them.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem, but got it to work, if you aren't printing the config page, turn off and on, however don't use the power button, unplug the power then plug it back in. they it should work, hopefully.
ReplyDeleteThis worked for me. I wasn't able to print a configuration page using the GO button until I unplugged it and then plugged it back in. Thanks
Deletehow can i know page count
ReplyDeleteThe page count will be included on the configuration/self-test page. See above for instructions on printing it.
DeleteThank you,
ReplyDeleteI seem to have a strange issue with my HP Laserjet P2035 where when I press the GO Button to produce the Self Test/Device Configuration page I am not getting any network output, so I am unable to see what my Printers IP address is. It is on the network and we are able to print to it. Just the test page isn't displaying the network settings
