HP Officejet 6000 Wireless

To print a network configuration page on the Officejet 6000 Wireless, simply press the Wireless button on the front of the printer (it's the one with the wireless icon and the blue LED).  The green power LED will start blinking, and after a short while the network configuration page will print out.

This page displays some basic network status information, such as network status, MAC addresses (for both the wired connection and the wireless one), and web server URL (if applicable).  This configuration page does not show the printer's page count.

How to print a demo page on a Ricoh Aficio printer

Ricoh color printers, both the SP series (such as the SP C420DN) and the CL series (like the CL4000) have the ability to print out a color demo page.  This page can be used to check the color quality and image density of the various colors.  The page consists of images of several multi-colored fish, as well as a pattern of colored dots.  The model name of the printer, as well as several lines of text, are also displayed on the demo page.

To print the color demo page from a Ricoh Aficio printer with a display screen:

- Press the Menu button.
- Scroll down until List/Test Print is displayed on the screen.
- Press the OK button.
- Scroll down until Color Demo Page is displayed.
- Press OK.

HP Officejet Pro L7590

You can print out a network settings page on the Officejet Pro L7590 to see the network configuration by following these steps:

- Press the Setup button on the printer's operation panel.
- Use the right arrow button to scroll through the options until "2. Print Report" appears.
- Press OK.
- Press the right arrow button until "8. Network Settings" is displayed.
- Press OK.

If you'd rather print the self test page instead of the network settings page, you can find that option under the Print Report menu as well -- just go to "4. Self-Test Page" instead and hit OK.

How to test printing from an HP LaserJet P1005

On the LaserJet P1005, which doesn't have any buttons other than the power button, you can't print a configuration page from the printer itself; you have to do it from your computer, from within the print driver.  But you can print out a sort of test page from the printer, just to verify that the printer is able to print.  This page is just a series of lines, but it can be helpful when troubleshooting printing problems.

To print out this test page, turn the printer on and then open and close the top cover of the printer (where the toner cartridge goes in) five times in a row.  After you close the cover the last time, the sample test page will begin printing.
