You can print a user data list from the FaxPhone L170 that gives a detailed view of various configuration categories (such as fax settings, paper settings, and timer settings).  To print the user data list:

- Press the Menu button (the black button to the left of the display screen).
- Use the side arrow buttons to scroll through the menu options until you get to "8. Print Lists".
- Press the Set button (below the arrow buttons).
- The first option in the Print Lists submenu is "1. User Data" -- press Set to select it.  The user data list (3 pages long) will print out.

Sharp AR-161 page count

To view the page count on a Sharp AR-161 copier, press and hold the 0 (zero) button.  The page count will be displayed on the small display screen, but since the screen can only show three characters at a time, the page count will be broken up.  The first three numbers will be displayed first, then the second set of three numbers will be displayed.  For example, if the page count is 124,744, then you would see "124" appear, and then a second or two later it would be replaced with "744".

Sharp AR-M207 page count

On the AR-M207, you can view the copier's page count one of two ways.  The easiest way is to just hold down the Copy button for a second, and the page count will appear on the screen.  (It will go away as soon as you let go of the button.)

The other way is to press the Special Function button and then scroll down through the options until you see Total Count.  Press OK, and the page count will be displayed.  In addition to the total page count, you'll also see page counts for the individual functions (such as copying or printing) and a page count for duplexed (double-sided) pages.

HP LaserJet M2727nf configuration page

On the LaserJet M2727nf desktop multifunction printer, you can print a configuration page by following these steps:

- Press the gray Setup button (to the lower left of the display screen; it has a wrench icon on it).
- Use the right arrow button (below the screen) to scroll through the menu options until you come to Reports.
- Press the OK button (between the two arrow buttons).
- Use the right arrow button again to scroll to the right until you see Config Report.
- Press OK.  The configuration page will print out.

To print a configuration page on a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5045 copier:

- Press the Main Menu button (in the upper left corner of the operation panel; it has an icon of a house on it).
- On the touch screen, select Printer.
- Select Print Server Status/Settings.
- Select Functions (in the lower right corner).
- Select Print Pages by touching the gray box to the right of it.
- Select Configuration, also by touching the gray box to the right of it.

The configuration will print out on one page front and back, with tons of setup, network, and device information (but no page count).

UPDATE:  If the steps listed above don't work on your C5045, follow this procedure instead:

- Press the Settings/Registration button.
- Touch Function Settings and then Printer.
- Touch Output Report.
- Touch either PCL or PS depending on which driver language you use.
- Touch Configuration Page.
- Touch Yes.

Configuration pages and page counts

This blog contains links to instructions for printing out configuration pages for various makes and models of printers, copiers, and fax machines.  It also has instructions for finding the page counts (also called copy counts or meters) for machines that will let you view the count on-screen, rather than having to print out a configuration page.

HP LaserJet 1200 configuration page

The LaserJet 1200 doesn't have much of an operation panel.  There's just one gray button and a couple of lights.  To print a configuration page, hold down the gray button for about three seconds, then let go.  The upper LED (the green one) should start flashing, and the configuration page will print out.

In order for the config page to print, the printer has to be in the "ready" condition (powered on, enough toner in the toner cartridge, and no paper stuck inside the printer).  If the printer is ready, the upper LED should be lit up a steady green.  If it's not, or if the other LED is flashing, the printer may be out of toner or paper, or have a paper jam.

HP Color LaserJet 4600 configuration page

To print a configuration page from an HP Color LaserJet 4600:

- Press the Select button (the green button with the check mark on it) to bring up the main menu.  "INFORMATION" should be displayed on the screen.  NOTE: If the printer is idle or sleeping, you may have to press Select once to wake it up, then press it again to get into the menu.
- Press Select to open the Information submenu.
- Using the down arrow button, scroll down until you see "PRINT CONFIGURATION" appear on the screen.
- Press Select to print out the configuration page.

HP LaserJet 2300 configuration page

On the LaserJet 2300 as well as some other models, the configuration page can be printed out by following these steps:

- With the printer at the ready screen, press the Select button (the green button with the check mark on it).
- Press the down arrow button once.  "INFORMATION" will be displayed on the screen.
- Press the Select.button
- Press the down arrow button once.  "PRINT CONFIGURATION" will be displayed.
- Press the Select.button

HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 configuration page

On the Officejet Pro 8500, you can print out a self-test diagnostic page that shows a lot of information about the printer, such as ink levels, total page count, firmware version, serial number, and more.  To print the self-test diagnostic page:

- Press the Setup button (below the display screen, with the wrench icon on it)
- Press the right arrow button once so that "2. Print Report" is displayed on the screen
- Press the OK button to select it
- Use either the right or left arrow buttons to scroll through the options until you see "4. Self-Test Report"
- Press OK to select it, and the self-test diagnostic page will begin printing

If you just want to see details about the network configuration, you can choose to print the network settings page instead of the self-test diagnostic page.  To print the network configuration page:

- Press the Setup button (below the display screen, with the wrench icon on it)
- Press the right arrow button once so that "2. Print Report" is displayed on the screen
- Press the OK button to select it
- Use either the right or left arrow buttons to scroll through the options until you see "8. Network Settings"
- Press OK to select it, and the configuration page (which is actually two pages long) will begin printing

Note that the network config page for this printer doesn't include the page count, but the self-test diagnostic page does.

Page count for Sharp MX-4100N / MX-4101N / MX-5001N

Like other Sharp copiers, you can view the page count directly on the display screen for the MX-4100N, MX-4101N, and MX-5001N series.  Follow these steps to see the page count:

- Press the System Settings button on the operation panel (to the right of the screen)
- Touch Total Count on the touch screen (in the upper left corner)
- Touch Job Count

The various page counts will be displayed on-screen, broken down into categories (black and white, full color, two color, etc.).

Another way to see the page count is to press and hold Copy (at the top of the screen) on the main copy screen.  The page counts, along with estimates of how much toner is left, will be displayed.

Configuration page for HP LaserJet P1505n

On the LaserJet P1505n, the configuration page, called the self test/configuration page on this printer, can be printed out just by pressing the green button on top of the printer.  (It has an icon of a sheet of paper and an arrow on it.)  The configuration page will print right out, complete with page count and other information.

Pitney Bowes printer configuration pages

Pitney Bowes offers its customers report printers to go along with their postage systems.  Just like with most other brands of printers, Pitney Bowes printers can print out a configuration page, called a print settings page or a printer settings page, that will give a brief overview of the printer's current setup and options.  To find configuration page instructions for a Pitney Bowes printer, follow the links below.

Pitney Bowes also makes other office devices, including fax machines.  The fax machines may not be able to print a "true" config page, but they can print a similar page, often called a system setup report.  Instructions for printing the system setup report can be found under the appropriate link below.

How to print a configuration page on a Pitney Bowes 1E05 printer

On the PB 1E05, the configuration page that you can print out is a print settings page, which shows setup options, paper settings, and interface information.  To print out the print settings page, make sure the printer is on and ready (no paper jams or other alerts) then press the Go button (the gray button closest to the front of the printer) three times in a row.

How to print a configuration page on a Xerox Phaser 3124 or 3125

Printing a config page from the Phaser 3124 or 3125 is simple.  Just press the Cancel button on top of the printer (the big circular button with the triangle on it) and hold it down for five or six seconds, then release it, and the configuration page will begin printing.

Config page for an HP LaserJet 1320

The small desktop LaserJet 1320 doesn't have much of an operation panel, and no display screen, so you can't scroll through the menu to select the configuration page like on larger printers.  To print out a configuration page from the 1320, hold down the Go (green) and Stop (red) buttons together for about five seconds, until the green and orange lights start flashing, then let go.  The configuration page will then print out.

Page count for Sharp AR-M257 and AR-M277

Like with many Sharp copiers of the same generation, you can easily see the total page count on an AR-M257 or AR-M277 by pressing and holding the Copy button (to the right of the display screen).  The page count will appear on the screen in the upper left corner, followed by an estimate of the amount of toner remaining.

Configuration page for an HP Color LaserJet 5550

The steps for printing a configuration page from a Color LaserJet 5550 are similar to many other HP models.  With the printer on and ready, press the green check mark button to bring up the menu.  Then scroll down once so that INFORMATION is displayed, and press the check mark button to select it.  Scroll down once again so that PRINT CONFIGURATION is displayed, and press the check mark button.  The config page will begin printing out.

How to print a user settings list from a Brother IntelliFax 2800

To print the user settings list on an IntelliFax 2800, press the Reports button and then press 5 to select User Settings.  The user settings list will print out in a moment or two.  Note that on the 2800, the page count isn't included on the user settings list.
